To me, the most interesting page in The News & Observer contains the puzzles in the "Life, etc." section.
From my collection of cryptoquotes, here are some that seem appropriate at this time:
For our pathetic Wake County school board: "A conference is a gathering of important people who singly can do nothing, but together can decide nothing can be done." Fred Allen.
Regarding the oil spill tragedy: "Thank God man cannot as yet fly and lay waste the sky as well as the earth." Henry David Thoreau. Printed in 2007.
Airport troubles: "The sooner you are there (at the airport), the sooner you will find out how long you will be delayed." Shelley Berman. Printed in 2007.
Or: "The scientific theory I like best is that the rings of Saturn are made up entirely of lost luggage." Mark Russell. Printed in 2007.
Please keep printing such jewels of comic and serious writings.
