Quarterback T.J. Yates made the first public comments by a member of the UNC football program about the NCAA's investigation into the Tar Heels on Monday night.

Yates made a joke on his Twitter account, JTsetay, about receiving a golf lesson from a friend.

"Â…dont [sic] worry NCAA its [sic] ok we've got a prior relationship," Yates wrote on Monday night at about 7:30 p.m.

Yates' tweet suggests the NCAA is aware of the content on Marvin Austin's Twitter account. Austin and Greg Little have been interviewed by the NCAA about improper contact with a sports agent.

Kevin Best, the spokesman for the UNC football team, said Yates was unavailable for comment and directed all questions to athletic director Dick Baddour.

Baddour declined to comment on Tuesday. Last Thursday Baddour said that NCAA investigators had been to Chapel Hill to "speak with some of student-athletes" without providing further detail.
