A Chapel Hill man was accused in an indictment Monday for raping and taking sexual liberties with the daughter of a woman he was living with.
Martin Delgado-Ramirez, 32, of 591 Dalton Drive, was living with Debra Glover, 47, and her 15-year-old daughter at the time of his March 5 arrest. Major Gary Blankenship, a spokesman for the Chatham County Sheriff's Office which made the arrest, said Glover was complicit in the act and is currently facing her own felony child abuse charge. The investigation was started after a tip from the state Department of Social Services, he said.
Blankenship said Ramirez's bond is set at $225,000. He has sat in a county jail cell since his arrest, awaiting his Aug. 30 court date at the Pittsboro Superior Courthouse.
