Triangle advertising veteran Michael Winslow has found a new professional home after a year of freelancing.
Winslow, 63, has joined Craig Jackson & Partners in a senior creative and management capacity. The Chapel Hill firm was founded in 1994 and counts as its local clients WakeMed Health and Hospitals and the Carolina Hurricanes hockey franchise.
Winslow previously worked at Rockett, Burkhead & Winslow until that firm declared bankruptcy last year as a result of the recession.
His 30-year career began in Raleigh, and his work has been cited in the two industry bibles: AdAge and Adweek. He has worked on advertising campaigns for Royal Carib bean Cruise lines, Duke Health Systems, Glaxo Wellcome and BB&T, among others.
He grew up Hertford, near the Outer Banks, and studied commercial art and English literature at East Carolina University. His hobbies include collecting Indian arrowheads. His collection of about 100 points includes arrowheads that date back several thousand years.
