A Raleigh man died at WakeMed last night after a motorcycle crash at 8:50 p.m. on Lynn Road.
Richard Eddie Marcom, 59, of 7921 Broad St. lost control of his custom 2004 motorcycle on Lynn between Magnolia Court and Gloucester Road, according to an accident report from the Raleigh Police Department.
Marcom was traveling at 85 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to the report. He then ran off the right side of the road, hit the north curb of Lynn and collided with a utility pole.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
