Police say a Raleigh woman found shot in an apartment in Atlanta was likely killed over money, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The newspaper reported that police have identified a person of interest they would like to interview about the death of ZaQuavia Kingsberry, who was killed in the Buckhead section of the city July 14.

Homicide investigators were looking for Steven Smith, whom they say is the only person who was in the apartment the day of the shooting who has not been interviewed by detectives. There have been no arrests in the case.

"We believe theft" was the motive, Atlanta police homicideDetective Kevin Otts told the Journal-Constitution.

"The apartment [occupant] said cash was taken from a computer desk."

Kingsberry, 33, was visiting a boyfriend in Atlanta when she died. She worked as a nurse's assistant and had recently bought a house in Raleigh for herself and her sons, ages 15 and 4.
