I strongly recommend that the only feedback that Wake County school board members get on the blobs that they are holding out as maps/assignment zones is that these "maps" don't give enough information for anyone to provide any useful feedback.
When the board is serious about public input, I suggest it provide sufficient information, such as student demographics and geographic boundaries, so residents can identify the real issues and determine whether these zones meet the needs of our students and the requirements of the "controlled choice" model being offered.
Is it offensive that the majority board members think that these blobs of color are worth comment, especially after the staff qualified its presentation as a result of just "playing around" with the zones? And now the board thinks we should spend our time commenting? How dare they "play around" with county residents' time and emotions.
