After much anticipation, developers of the ParkWest project in Morrisville confirmed that Target will be the center's anchor tenant.

Developers Casto Properties and 1st Carolina Properties have also released a long list of tenants that will join Target, including: Buy Buy Baby, T.J. Maxx, The Dress Barn, Rack Room Shoes, Mattress Firm, Sprint, New Japan Express, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Zoe's Kitchen, Platinum Nail Spa, Fantastic Sam's, Massage Envy, Kilwin's Chocolates and Ice Cream, Game Stop, Ruckus Pizza, Pasta and Spirits, Deluxe Cleaners and the Triangle's first Omaha Steaks store.

The project, at Cary Parkway and Chapel Hill Road, has been on the books since 2006 but was delayed as the economy faltered. Originally, the plan was to build the entire project at once, but now it will go up in three phases. The current plans call for 650,000 square feet of retail, up to 100,000 square feet of offices and 255 apartments.

Workers should break ground on the project in a week or so.
