Shed project earns Silver Award

Kate Elizabeth Welker of Wake Forest has received the Silver Award, the second-highest achievement for a Girl Scout.

For her Silver Award project, Kate built a wooden outdoor shed for Wake Forest Elementary School to provide storage for play equipment.

Kate is a member of Troop 835, advised by Kimberly Deinhammer and Susan DeSantis. She is the daughter of Robert and Deanna Welker of Wake Forest.
