The Carolina Hurricanes will have four regular-season games televised this season by Versus, the U.S. national rights-holder.
If that seems like a slim number, it's four more than last season, when the Canes were no-shows.
Versus will televise the Hurricanes' two games in the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere. Carolina opens the regular season Oct. 7-8 against the Minnesota Wild in Helsinki, Finland.
The two other Versus appearances will be Nov. 29 against the Dallas Stars and March 15 against the Buffalo Sabres.
The Hurricanes are not scheduled for any of the NBC telecasts that begin Jan. 1.
The NHL on Wednesday announced four game-time changes that involve the Hurricanes. Carolina's home game Nov. 29 against Dallas will have a 7:30 p.m. start time, and the team's home game on Feb. 18 against Philadelphia will begin at 8 p.m. The Canes' road game Oct. 14 at Ottawa will start at 7 p.m., and the team's game March 15 at Buffalo will start at 7:30 p.m.
