A Raleigh man faces a variety of charges, including assault and ethnic intimidation, after Wake County sheriff's deputies say he fired a handgun close to four Hispanic children.
Kyle Bradford Rose, 29, has been accused of discharging the gun Aug. 7 in such a way that the ricocheting bullet came close to the children. The children, who ranged in age from 2 to 14, were not hurt. Rose of 1013 Widgeon Way was charged with firing the gun on Reconciliation Drive.
Rose, who is white, faces four charges of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of ethnic intimidation, and one count of violating the county's firearm ordinance. His bail was set at $12,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 23.
