Cary yellow pages publisher Dex One has doubled down on its partnership with Yahoo.

Dex sales representatives in all 28 states where the company publishes yellow pages directories now are selling ad placements on Yahoo Local in addition to selling ads on Dex's own online search site, DexKnows, the publisher announced today.

Previously, under a partnership forged in 2007, Dex was limited to selling Yahoo Local ads in the 14 Western and Midwestern states where it publishes directories for Qwest. Dex said that partnership has been "highly successful."

"This strengthens a great strategic relationship with Yahoo and broadens the reach of our local advertiser network," Sean Greene, vice president of interactive at Dex, said in a prepared statement.

As advertisers shift their advertising dollars away from traditional media, Dex has been positioning itself as a "marketing services company." It has been steadily expanding beyond its print directories to other media, including mobile searches and phone searches through 1-800-CallDex - as well as offering services such as search engine optimization.
