From RailHawks News Release

The Carolina RailHawks' first playoff win, a 4-0 shutout of NSC Minnesota on Saturday, sent the NASL Conference champions into the semifinals of the USSF D-2 playoffs.

Next up for the RailHawks will be a Thursday night road game against the No. 6-seeded Montreal Impact, the defending USL-1 champions. The two-game series wraps up Sunday with a 6 p.m. match at Cary's WakeMed Soccer Park.

Montreal, the No. 6 seed, advanced to the semifinals by defeating the Austin Aztex 5-2 on aggregate. The Impact handed Austin a 2-0 defeat in the first leg in Montreal and then downed the Aztex 3-2 in the second leg in Austin.

Carolina and Montreal both seem to be playing at their best lately. The Impact has won five straight matches, and the RailHawks are unbeaten in their last five (4-0-1).
