Raleigh police arrest 2 on heroin trafficking charges

— Raleigh police arrested two men Tuesday night on heroin trafficking charges, authorities said.

Derrick Lakeith Evans, 38, of Cary, and Olujide Obatemi Omisade, 27, of Durham, are both charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin, according to arrest warrants filed in the Wake County Magistrate's Office.

Evans is also facing a charge of selling heroin, warrants state.

Omisade faces an additional charge of maintaining a vehicle for the sale of heroin, the warrants state.

Evans, of 103-B2 Cass Court, is being held in the Wake County jail on a $300,000 bond.

Omisade, of 921 Junction Road, is in custody in the Wake County jail on $600,000 bond.
