College football writer J.P. Giglio is one of 60 voters in the AP Top 25 poll.
Missouri's win over Oklahoma moves those Tigers from No. 17 to No. 6 (and drops Oklahoma nine spots to No. 12).
Auburn's 24-17 win over LSU moves those Tigers up two spots to No. 2.
With the No. 1 team, either AP or BCS, losing three weeks in a row, it's worth looking ahead to next week. Oregon (3) will have to survive Southern California's "Super Bowl" this week (the Trojans are barred from the postseason and have little to play for other than spoiling Oregon's season).
Missouri will have to get cranked back up after an emotional win for a trip to Nebraska (14).
In other words, don't make any reservations for Glendale just yet.
Hat tip to second-year coaches at Mississippi State (Dan Mullen) and Syracuse (Doug Marrone), who have quickly picked up downtrodden programs.
