Apex man held in claw hammer attack

Tommy Lamont Holloway, 32, is charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

An Apex man was arrested Tuesday after police said he assaulted another man with two claw hammers.

Tommy Lamont Holloway, 32, of 1004 Laura Duncan Road, is charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, according to an arrest warrant filed in the Wake County Magistrate's Office.

Police said Holloway assaulted Terrance Stewart on Tuesday in Apex, the warrants state.

Holloway is in the Wake County jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
