Greg Humphreys is one versatile cat. He's always had the sunny-pop-soul thing down perfectly, and that predominates on his new album "Realign Your Mind" (Phrex Records). But the album also has some delectable pure pop that evokes Humphreys' tenure leading the band Dillon Fence; and it has a homey little fiddle tune called "Way Over Yonder" that's a great slice of back-porch folksiness. Humphreys will play with the aforementioned Dillon Fence tonight at Durham's Motorco Music Hall as part of the Troika Music Festival, which happens at venues all over Durham through Saturday. The Sames, North Elementary and Wesley Wolfe are also on the bill. For details, see troikamusicfestival.org or motorcomusic.com.
