In Durham County, volunteers will paint rooms and hallways at the Durham Center for Senior Life, 406 Rigsbee Ave., Durham, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. In Orange County, volunteers will assemble toiletry and disaster kits at Christ United Methodist Church, 800 Market St., Chapel Hill, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. In Wake County, volunteers will paint a mural and do cleaning and organizing at Haven House, 706 Hillsborough St., #200, Raleigh, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
