Perdue: Projected budget gap has shrunk by $1 billion

Gov. Bev Perdue announced Wednesday that that state's projected budget shortfall had shrunk by about $1 billion, from $3.7 billion to $2.7 billion.

In a statement posted on YouTube, Perdue credited her administration's fiscal stewardship and job creation efforts with improving the state's budget outlook.
