TyraTech, a Florida company that develops pesticides to fight parasites in people and animals, is relocating its headquarters to Morrisville.
The move will bring 105 jobs to Wake County.
The company cited the Triangle's high-quality universities as the main reason for the move.
One of the key drivers to make the move to the Triangle area are the educational institutions and universities, especially N.C. State which has very strong programs in entomology and veterinary sciences which we hope to draw upon as we expand, said Alan Reade, executive chairman for TyraTech, in a release.
TyraTech is a public company whose stock trades on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol TYR.
The company's headquarters in Florida were in Melbourne.
TyraTech develops plant-based technology that controls pest and parasites found in humans, animals and homes and businesses.
The company is growing, and expects to begin posting open positions here in the Triangle in late March.
