Battistella's New Orleans Kitchen is taking over the space in City Market previously occupied by Angelo's, according to a press release issued Friday.
Battistella's was previously located inside the Crabtree Inn's restaurant facility near the mall. The new location is at the intersection of Blount and Martin streets.
Chef Brian Battistella is a Hurricane Katrina refuge who relocated to Raleigh. He used to work at that New Orleans' dining institution, Commander's Palace and his family used to run the oldest fish market in New Orleans.
The new restaurant will open in late spring.
