Tuesday, March 15: N.C. State coach Sidney Lowe resigns after five seasons, ending his tenure with an 86-78 record and a 25-55 mark in ACC play.

Thursday, March 24: Arizona coach Sean Miller, a former N.C. State assistant coach, declines opportunity to interview for Wolfpack job.

Monday, April 4: Virginia Commonwealth coach Shaka Smart declines offer from N.C. State, receives contract extension from the Colonial Athletic Association school. On the same day, Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin and Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall are eliminated from the mix; N.C. State athletic director Debbie Yow sends email to Wolfpack Club members to tell them she's looking for a "fighter" who is up to the challenge of rebuilding the program.

Tuesday, April 5: N.C. State introduces former Alabama coach Mark Gottfried as the Wolfpack's new basketball coach.
