Ashton Trevor Bennett, 5 month old infant son of Amber and James Bennett, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 after a courageous battle with a heart defect.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at St. Mary’s Mother of the Church Catholic Parrish, Garner.

In addition to his parents, Ashton is survived by brothers, Carter and Hayden Bennett, of the home; grandparents, Gail and Lonnie Israel of Candler, NC; great-grandparents, Lona and Dave King of Corning, CA, Rita and Luther Thigpen of Asheville, NC, and Betty and Jesse Israel of Candler, NC; aunt, Sara Niles; uncles, Devin Bennett, Zarac Lompart, Alan Israel and Trevor Israel, as well as several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at UNC Children’s Hospital and to their Wake County Sherriff’s Office family.
