Comments by Wake County school board member John Tedesco at a recent meeting of the Northern Wake Republican Club offended me on several levels. As a Christian I found his reference to the "unholy trinity" of the NAACP, the Great Schools in Wake Coalition and Raleigh FIST irreverent - nearly blasphemy, particularly during the Easter season.

As a professional educator and strong advocate of civil rights, I was appalled how he tried to lump the NAACP and the Great Schools Coalition with a radical anarchist movement. And then Tedesco claimed these three groups are trying to use fear to further their cause. How would Tedesco describe his own tactics of hyperboles and distortions of the truth?
