When players including former phenom Freddy Adu on the newly announced U.S. men's national team roster train for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Triangle soccer fans will get to see some of the action.

The team will return to Cary on Thursday. When the team trained at WakeMed Soccer Park in March, there were a few opportunities for Carolina RailHawks season-ticket holders and some others involved in area youth soccer to watch.
That trip included three days of practice in Cary. This one could be "through the weekend," according to RailHawks director of operations David Vaught. The U.S. team's first game is June 4 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Vaught said the RailHawks are trying to set up some special viewing opportunities much like last time.
"We're waiting to hear back from them," Vaught said. "We have a good relationship with all those involved."
The U.S. team trained in Cary before the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, but held this summer's preparation in Princeton, N.J. WakeMed has hosted one U.S. men's international match, against Jamaica in 2006.
