Rachel B. Baines, 92, died Thursday, July 14, 2011. She was born October 21, 1918 in Nash County, daughter of the late Louis and Lessie Manning Bass. She was the widow of the late Woodrow Baines and was also preceded in death by one grandson. Rachel was a member of Momeyer Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church family.

She is survived by sons, Nelson Baines and wife, Patsy and Jerry Baines and wife, Diane all of Nashville; daughters, Peggy Manning and husband, Stanley of Nashville and Jewel Kichak and husband, John of Cary, NC; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Momeyer Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Baines Family Cemetery, Nashville.

The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011.
