DURHAM -- The second game of the Greater NC Pro-Am summer basketball league on Thursday night could have featured some of North Carolina's best players against some of Duke's.

But the notable Tar Heels (Harrison Barnes and John Henson) didn't show, taking some of the starch out of the matchup at N.C. Central's McLendon-McDougald Gym.

Incoming Duke freshman Austin Rivers put on an impressive performance in their absence, flashing his dunking, ball-handling and long-range abilities at various points. One particularly nice drive to the hoop was enough to make a believer out of former Blue Devils star Jay Williams, who was watching the games from the scorer's table.

After Rivers laid the ball in following his ankle-breaking move, Williams stood up, took a step onto the court with raised arms and shouted, "He's going to Duke! He's going to Duke!"

When Kyrie Irving - the No. 1 pick in June's NBA Draft - showed up midway through the game, it meant there were three generations of Duke guards in the building. Afterward, the trio was mobbed by players and fans alike, posing for photographs together.

"It is funny because I can't believe it was 10 years ago I was in that same situation," Williams said. "How time flies. I am so proud of Kyrie being the first pick. I really think Austin has that same ability. If that is next year or whenever, I think you're looking at another Duke player who has the potential to be the first or second pick in the draft."
