From staff reports

A Raleigh man accused of murdering his pregnant wife in 2006 has been released on bail a month after his trial ended in a mistrial, according to Wake County jail officials.

Jason Young's parents have posted a $900,000 bond, and he was released this afternoon.

Young, 37, has been in jail since December 2009, when he was charged with murdering his 29-year-old wife, Michelle, in their home. He has since gone through a high-profile trial that ended with a mistrial in June when jurors deadlocked on his guilt.

His next trial has been set for October 12.

As a condition of his release, Young is forbidden to have any contact with the prosecution's witnesses, said Dexter L. Williams, chief magistrate for Wake County. Young will also be permitted visits with his young daughter under certain circumstances.
