Durham police investigate stabbing

DURHAM -- Police are investigating a stabbing that was reported Thursday night on South Roxboro Street.

Officers were sent to the call at 10:19 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Roxboro Street. A 55-year-old man was lying in the grass behind an apartment building. He had been stabbed in the chest. The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was taken to Duke Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Investigators have no suspects at this time.
