DURHAM -- Sheriff's investigators have more details in a June 10 triple murder-suicide, but they do not plan to release a motive for the crime.

Brinton Marcell Millsap, 23, Alexandria J. Baker Pierce, 23, Anesha Alia Page-Smith, 24, and Adrianne Celeste Stevens, 22, were found slain along N.C. 54 in Research Triangle Park.

Millsap shot the three woman with a .40 caliber Glock, then turned the handgun on himself and fired once into the right side of his head, according to Durham County Sheriff Worth Hill.

He had two magazines, one that held 30 rounds, and extra loose bullets on his person, said Capt. Don Ladd of the Durham County Sheriff's Office. Millsap discharged the larger magazine first and then reloaded with the smaller clip that held 10 to 12 rounds.

It appears that Millsap began shooting in the back of the car, but it is not definitive yet, Ladd added.

Although the Sheriff's Office will not say why Millsap shot the women, family and friends say he shot them because he thought one of them had given him herpes.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office is still investigating where the weapon came from but probably won't produce any new leads, Ladd said.
