RALEIGH — Southbound lanes on Creedmoor Road have been reopened as well as one of the northbound lanes after a downed tree and utility pole closed the road during a storm last night, Raleigh police say.
The road had been closed in both directions from Lynn Road south to Jeffreys Grove School Road.
Raleigh police did not have a time estimate for when the remaining northbound lane will be reopened.
The tree and pole fell during a storm last night. The state Department of Transportation had barriers on Creedmoor Road to block the site. A repair crew from Progress Energy is working to replace the pole, police said, but won't be finished during today's morning rush hour.
