DURHAM — A woman wanted in the death of a Durham man was arrested Wednesday morning in South Hill, Va., by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Jamelia Jaunique Thomas, 23, of North Roxboro Street in Durham, was charged with murder and placed in the Mecklenburg County, Va., jail.
Durham police officers responded to a call shortly after 8 p.m. Sept. 1 about a gunshot wound at Durham Regional Hospital. Jerry Wayne Morgan, 54, of Sidneys Way, had been brought in for treatment. He died later that night.
