What worked

Wake Forest did enough defensively to hold off the Seminoles , forcing five turnovers, including a timely fourth-quarter interception. Yet its balanced offense - 391 total yards - deserves credit for producing the most points ever scored by the Deacons against FSU. Sophomore quarterback Tanner Price threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Josh Harris and Brandon Pendergrass combined for 180 yards rushing.

What needs work

Wake was ineffective on third down, converting just 4 of 15 opportunities. Sustaining drives will be critical as the schedule gets tougher. .
