Russell K. Gray Sr., 76, died unexpectedly on Monday October 31, 2011. He was born in Washington, D.C., October 14, 1935 to the late Campbell and Lucy (Russell) Gray. Russell was a long time member of the Raleigh Power Squadron serving as District Commander and later as the National Secretary.
Russell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Iris Gray of Cary; sons, Russell Gray Jr. of Wake Forest, NC, Kenneth Lee Gray and wife, Shari of Greenbrier, TN, daughter, Barbara L. Weller and husband Ross of Pine Grove, PA; brother, Robert Gray; grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Casey Taylor, Amanda Brozanna, Tyler Weller, Justin Weller, Kenneth Gray Jr., Daniel Gray; great grandchildren, Dillon, Noah and Grace Cooper.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park, Cary.
