RALEIGH -- A person was shot near Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School on Monday afternoon and ran onto the school campus after classes had been dismissed for the day.
The person was shot about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of Creech Road and Slippery Elm Drive, according to Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue. Police identified the person as Tevin Bunn, 17, but did not provide other details about the shooting, other than to say that Bunn's injury was not life-threatening.
Southeast Raleigh High School was put on lockdown when Bunn arrived seeking help, but at that point only extracurricular activities were still being held, said Greg Thomas, a Wake schools' spokesman. Thomas said Bunn was not a student at the school.
