Durham bank robbery suspect sought

DURHAM -- Police say they are looking for a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 900 West Club Blvd. on Monday.

The man entered the bank about 9:15 a.m., told employees he had a weapon and demanded money, police said. No weapon was seen, and no one was injured.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the suspect as an older white man, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He was unshaven and missing several teeth. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue puffy coat with a hood, blue jeans and white shoes.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Investigator Salmon at 560-4582, ext. 29238, CrimeStoppers at 683-1200 or the FBI at 380-4500 or 704-672-6100.
