Donald Sigurd Bugni, age 84, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Raleigh, NC on December 23, 2011. He was born in Bessemer, MI on December 28, 1926.
Don served his county first, in the Naval Reserve, and later in the army during the Korean War, earning an honorable discharge. He began his career with Square D Company as a draftsman in Milwaukee, WI and accepted a transfer to the Knightdale, NC facility when it opened in the early 70’s. He advanced his career through the engineering department, ascending to process engineer. He proudly retired from Square D after 46 years.
The family will hold a celebration of his life on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Raleigh, NC. It would have been his 85th birthday. The family will hold a brief visitation before the service at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
