Player to watch: Matt Stainbrook, Western Michigan
A 6-9, 290-pound sophomore, Stainbrook ranks among the Mid-American Conference's biggest and best inside players. He scored 20 points in the Nov. 20 81-78 loss to Colorado and had 32 points against South Dakota State.
Observation: After playing only four games since Nov. 29, the Blue Devils finally begin to get busy. They'll host Penn on Sunday then hit the street for games at Temple on Jan. 4 and then the ACC opener at Georgia Tech on Jan. 7.
