Canes' Dalpe, Joslin assigned to Checkers

The Canes have assigned defenseman Derek Joslin and forward Zac Dalpe to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL).

Joslin, 24, is joining Charlotte for conditioning purposes. The Richmond Hill, Ont., native has played in 14 of Carolina’s 41 games this season, registering one goal and earning one assist (2 points), while averaging 15:55 of ice time per game.

Dalpe, 22, rejoins the Checkers after playing in each of the Hurricanes’ last four games. He has scored one goal and earned one assist (2 points) in 13 NHL games with Carolina this season, and has four goals and four assists (8 points) in 16 AHL games this year.
