A woman who was reported missing from an assisted-living facility in the New Hill area of Wake County has been found safe, authorities said this evening.

Annie McKey, 81, was reported missing from the James Rest Home off New Hill Holleman Road. A Silver Alert was issued this afternoon for McKey, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

McKey had been seen leaving the assisted-living facility in a green taxi cab around 7 a.m. today, and was later seen around 12:45 p.m. in Charlotte, according to the alert. She was traveling with her son, Lionel McKey, in a Crown Taxi Cab.
