Duke forward Ryan Kelly (34) shoots a three pointer.
Looking to end road-game trend
The fifth-ranked Blue Devils (12-2) get an opportunity to make amends after a disappointing performance at Temple on Wednesday night. Duke has struggled in its last two road games, and maybe it will be good for the team to have a chance to flush the memories of this week's 78-73 loss to the Owls.
Duke should have an opportunity to create transition points. Not withstanding the Temple game, the Blue Devils have pushed the ball effectively in recent weeks, and Georgia Tech (7-7) ranks last in the ACC in turnover margin (minus 3.43 turnovers per game).
The Blue Devils will also look for more consistency from Ryan Kelly. While the big man has had a number of strong games and is third on the team in scoring (12 ppg), he disappeared for large stretches in Duke's two losses. Kelly grabbed only two rebounds against Temple. For all its faults, Georgia Tech hasn't been a poor rebounding team this season, so it will be interesting to see how Duke rebounds after its lackluster effort against Temple.
