The Canes have reassigned forward Drayson Bowman to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bowman, 22, played in each of Carolinas 11 games since his Dec. 11 recall from Charlotte. He has notched two goals and earned three assists (5 points) in 13 NHL games this season with the Hurricanes.
Bowman was recalled by the Canes when forward Jeff Skinner suffered a concussion.
Forward Patrick Dwyer, who has been sidelined with an upper-body injury, is expected to play tonight for the Canes against the Nashville Predators.
