Player to watch: Mike Scott, F, Virginia
The Cavaliers' forward had a 23-point, eight-rebound effort against Miami on Saturday to lead Virginia to victory in its ACC opener. Entering Wednesday's ACC games, Scott was fifth in the conference in scoring and will be a handful for the Blue Devils' post players.
Observations: After a strong non-conference schedule, Virginia can use this game as a measuring stick. Earlier this week, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski spoke with envy about how the Cavaliers instinctively know where they are supposed to be on the defensive end. The Blue Devils, on the other hand, are still having to think about where they are supposed to be and when.
