RALEIGH -- State alcohol agents have arrested a young man on charges that he bought the alcohol that teenagers were drinking at a party the night of the crash that killed a 17-year-old Millbrook High School student early Jan. 7.

Anthony Du Juan Geter, who turned 21 less than a month ago, was arrested by N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement agents Friday night and booked into the Wake County jail. He was charged with two counts of aiding and abetting an underage person to possess alcohol.

Elizabeth Molloy was killed in the 2:15 a.m. crash of a Jeep SUV driven by Garrett Prince, 16, when it sped off the road in the 6700 block of Rainwater Road and hit a tree.

Prince was charged with felony death by vehicle, careless and reckless driving, speeding, possession of alcohol and marijuana, and driving while impaired.

Agents say Geter bought two 1.75-liter bottles of Bacardi Dragon Berry rum at an ABC store on Sandy Forks Road in North Raleigh the evening of Jan. 6. He is accused of giving some of it to Molloy and Prince, and he is also charged with two counts of providing alcohol to two other underage girls who were not involved in the wreck.

Geter, of 7104 Sandy Forks Road Apt. 3A, posted $4,000 bail and was released pending a court appearance March 14.

The ALE is still investigating and expects to file more charges, according to a statement the agency released Saturday.
