DURHAM -- The suspect in a manhunt in Durham has surrendered to police. Christopher Posada, 20, was arrested at his home on Sedwick Road without incident, said Kammie Michael, Durham police spokeswoman.

Durham police have searched for Posada since Monday. He is believed to have shot and killed his mother's boyfriend Monday night in the Parkwood neighborhood.

Police issued an arrest warrant Monday for Christopher Herrera Posada of 1444 Sedwick Road.

Police think Posada shot Jose Fernando Garcia, 47, at the home on Sedwick Road at about 7 p.m. Monday. Police say they found Garcia lying inside the house, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
