EMCOR buys Southern Industrial Constructors in Raleigh

EMCOR Group, a publicly traded construction and energy infrastructure company based in Connecticut, announced Friday that it has acquired Raleigh-based Southern Industrial Constructors.

Terms of the deal we're not disclosed.

Southern has 900 employees and had estimated revenues of $90 million last year, according to a release announcing the deal. EMCOR has a market cap of nearly $2 billion.

Southern provides industrial maintenance and construction services throughout the Southeast. It specializes in installing plant equipment and providing maintenance. It has offices in Raleigh, Wilmington, Charlotte and Columbia, S.C.
