GREENSBORO -- The longest-serving Republican member of Congress in North Carolina history says he's running for another term.

U.S. Rep. Howard Coble of Greensboro said Friday that he's up for the job and looking forward to using his experience to help his constituents. He's seeking a 15th term, this time in the newly-drawn 6th District.

Coble, 80, was hospitalized in December with a respiratory infection. He says he's feeling better and his doctors think there's no reason why he can't continue in office.
