Observations

North Carolina junior forward John Henson finished with three assists - more than any other UNC player except point guard Kendall Marshall. Henson had one of his better passing games of the season, and he routinely set up his teammates with easy looks - both on the inside and outside. At one point, Henson flipped a pass over his shoulder to Tyler Zeller, who then made a layup. Marshall said he was jealous of the move.

Freshman James Michael McAdoo has at times struggled to find his niche, but he had one of his strongest games on Sunday night. He finished with 9 points - the most he had scored since he had 14 in UNC's 99-49 victory against Nicholls on Dec. 19. Perhaps best of all for UNC, McAdoo was as aggressive as he has been this season: He added six rebounds in 19 minutes.

Two of the loudest roars from a Smith Center crowd this season have come when freshman point guard Stillman White has made a 3-pointer. He made one in the Tar Heels' 74-55 victory against N.C. State on Thursday that brought the crowd to its feet, and he made another during the first half on Sunday night that prompted the crowd to start chanting his name. White played six minutes in relief of Marshall.
