A Henderson couple has been charged with stealing personal information from mailboxes and using it to obtain unauthorized credit cards.

Mark Anthony Davis, 41, and his girlfriend Lawanda Joyce Ragland, 33, each face one count of conspiring to commit offenses against the United States, one count of access device fraud, one count of aggravated identity theft, and 11 counts of possessing stolen mail. The charges carry maximum sentences ranging from two to ten years.

From 2008 through the day before they were indicted earlier this month, the pair allegedly would steal mail from residential mailboxes in an attempt to collect enough personal information to obtain credit cards, according to the indictment.

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Henderson Police Department.
