Arrrrrrrrr - avast, matey!
If these terms frequent the play of your make-believing children, then you don't miss Saturday's production of "A Rollicking Tale of Blackbeard, Pirate of the Carolina Coast," presented by Raleigh Little Theatre at the N.C. Museum of History.
Starting at 2 p.m., this free play recounts the wild story of Blackbeard the pirate, incorporating dance, storytelling, puppets, and even a sea chantey!
This show, which is appropriate for all ages, complements The Story of North Carolina exhibit where the state's pirate legacy is explored. You can view a real cannon, pewter plate, gold flakes and other items recovered from Blackbeard's ship, Queen Anne's Revenge, discovered off the North Carolina coast at Beaufort Inlet in 1996.
